Biography:
Monika Mia is a versatile artist who seamlessly blends her classical music training with a deep passion for electronic music, beat production, and innovative songwriting. Her expertise in collaborating with live instrumental ensembles, coupled with her experience in crafting bespoke sounds, enables her to produce truly distinctive compositions. Currently, Monika is composing music for a fantasy short film that stars Dakin Matthews (Desperate Housewives, Guilded Age) in one of the key roles.
Monika's music has been featured in acclaimed films that have garnered nominations and wins at prestigious events like ZINEBI - Bilbao International Festival of Documentary and Short Film, Nashville Film Festival, Focus WIP Selection at Cannes Film Festival, as well as nominations at HollyShorts, Palm Springs International Film Festival, Rhode Island Film Festival and numerous others. Monika is also passionate about game music and has contributed music to an independent game MindVenture available on the Apple Store.
Monika has also made strides in the realm of music for advertisements, composing pieces for esteemed brands such as Gucci Russia, Tiffany&Co, Puma, FSK West campaigns, among others. Her compositions have been featured across various platforms including television, radio, and the internet.
Monika pursued her undergraduate degree at Trinity Laban Conservatoire and then continued her education at the prestigious USC Screen Scoring program for her master's degree. In addition, she was selected for the SCL Mentorship Scheme for the term 2022-2023.
